Auch wenn dieser Malt ohne Altersangabe abgefüllt wurde, macht die Tatsache, daß Port Ellen seit 1983 nicht mehr produziert, diese Abfüllung mindestens 27 Jahre alt.

Der Malt dieser Destillerie ist einer der größten Schottlands - kernig und torfig, aber nicht ganz so schwer wie andere Islay-Malts.
