Eine junge und innovative Food- und Bar-Szene belebt die Stadt an der Südostküste des Kontinents.
Von ihr inspiriert produziert die Starward Distillery einen für Australien völlig neuen Whisky, der das Genusserlebnis in den Mittelpunkt stellt, Konventionen den Rücken kehrt - und schlicht all jenes erlaubt, was gefällt und schmeckt.
Zum Beispiel den Genuss von Single Malt & Co. zum BBQ mit Freunden, mit Krimi auf der Couch, zu Pizza oder Bananenbrot.

Befreit von Traditionen schaut die Destillerie mit den Augen von Brauern und Winzern auf Whisky.
Der entsteht ausschließlich aus Zutaten der Region. Neben Gerste vor allem aus nur leicht ausgekohlten oder gedämpften Rotweinfässern australischer Weingüter.
Nur drei Jahre benötigt Starward Whisky in ihnen für seine fruchtige Reife.
Dafür verantwortlich: das Melbourne-Klima.
Ständige Wetterwechsel, die sogenannten "Four seasons in a day" bei durchschnittlich bis zu 22,5°C lassen Destillate elementar reifen - und einen Whisky entstehen, den es so sonst nirgendwo gibt.

Starward startet mit zwei seiner echt australischen Whiskys auf dem deutschen Markt.

Nova ist der Single Malt Whisky von Starward.
Als Grundlage dient den Melbourner Brennern um Gründer David Vitale die für Starward typische dunklere und etwas malzigere Braugerste vom Typ "Pale Malt".
Gereift in minimal behandelten Ex-Rotweinfässern hält Nova geschmacklich die Balance zwischen komplexen Noten von Beerenfrüchten, Vanille und Karamell sowie feiner Würze.
